Card payments run through Jane Payments, which is built on Stripe. It pays employees and contractors in the same run by direct deposit, remits CPP, EI and income tax to the CRA, and generates and files T4s and T4As at year-end. It does not replace accounting software, so each payroll run still has to be recorded in Xero or QuickBooks.
